This is the same contents page as the one below but once again I wanted to see if it looked better when it was white because I thought dark was too black. But I will see what opinions my peers give me and then decide what to choose.

This is the contents page I created. I did have ideas before this that I have showed you but they didn't have as much contents in as what normal contents pages do so I decided to do another and added everything in what a normal contents page would. As I am no good at contents pages I am thinking to keep this one as my final.

This is another front cover I have created. I am pretty pleased with this attempt and I am considering to use it as my final product. I will be asking what my family and friends think but in my opinion it is quite good.

This is the same magazine as the one below but I decided to see if it looked better than the white. Once I asked a few of my peers which one was best I got mixed comments but once they realised it was for a rock music magazine they all changed their minds and the black one got most votes.

This was another one of the front covers that I created with my own image. I kept it plain and simple and decided to use a white background but as doing it I thought about using black because it always represents a rock music magazine more than what white does. But I will be asking some of my peers their opinions and then see what I come up with.

This was the other front cover I created. I know I cannot use this as the picture has to be taken from the front because it has to be a medium close up shot but I posted this to show you once again the ideas I have. I do like this front cover thought so it is a shame that I cannot use this.

This is another front cover I created. I did have the background as white but I thought that it was better if it was black as it stood out more and I thought rocky magazines was stereotyped more as rocky.

The Results at 11:43

These are the results I have gathered from my survey. I asked 30 people to tell me which template they preferred out of the 8 I created. I told them they could only chose one and I noted it down as a tally chart and wanted a fair result. As if I had a person that voted for more than one then I dont think that is as accurate. The template that got the best result was the Powerman 5000 which is actually also one of my favourites. If I was to change my final front cover then I think I would be laying it out like the Powerman 5000, Gerard Way or the top left hand corner Paramore cover. I did create that System Of A Down template but I don't like it. I only created it whilst I was waiting to get the final results from this.

This is the contents I created using my template. I am not very good at creating contents pages but I did what I thought was best and tried to make it seem similar throughout the page.

This is a template for a contents page. Whilst thinking about changing my front cover I also decided to see if I could come up with more ideas for a contents page. This is what I created but I think I will see if I can create any more and then decide what to do with my final piece. In this one I have gone against convention because a normal contents page would have the layout of the writing to either side.

Change To The First Front Cover at 02:55

This is the front cover I created from the first template with the changes I have made. I have added an advert at the bottom and changed the font of 'ENDLESS WRECK EXCLUSIVE'. Also I moved the features that were along the bottom over to the right hand side so the advert could fit on. I thought this would be better because it has more attracting colours on it.

This is my front cover I have come up with after using the template I designed. I think it is quite attractive because it is light and not much is happening on it but all the colours stand out so it will attract your eye.

After completing my front page, contents page and double spread I started thinking about what to do now. I knew I would have to do an evaluation but as my polls nearly ended I noticed that at the time it was 50/50 on people who liked and disliked my final front cover. So I decided to think up of more ideas and I created a template that I thought was ok.

This is my final double page spread - although I do have to upload my own picture to it, which will be shown after. I chose this because I mixed and matched the features from each double page spread and used the opinions of my peers to help me. When creating this final piece I still had some of my peers sat next to me giving advice on what layout looked best and which picture looked best.

After creating both of my double page spreads I had to do a survey and questionnaire to see which one is better. I asked some of my peers for opinions to see what they would change or improve. The following changes suggested are shown below....

The result that I chose was the top one because every one said that they preffered it the most because it stood out and was the most colourful and clear.

The second change that got suggested was changing the main picture, the two pictures are shown below...

The best one that got chosen was once again the top one. This got chosen because it was the most colourful and went best with the black background.

The other questions I chose to ask about the two double page spreads are shown below and also the results (summed up) are as follows...

1.Do you find any of my double page spreads attractive?

They are both good but black goes better because it stands out more. The layout should be different to show a more professional side. Should merge each spread into one by using features from both.

2.Would you read it if you saw it?

The black one would be more attractive so that one would be read the most. The white one would be boring but it would still be read if good pictures were used.

3. What could I do to make them better?

Include some information about something and then choose the next issue to mention about some thing else. This would keep the reader intrigued and wanting to buy the next issue.

4. What attracts you most to a double page spread?

The pictures mainly because if it was all writing it would be boring. Big writing because it shows the importance.

5. Which one attracted you the most?

The black one got 70% of the vote but I was told it would be better if a bit was changed.

This is my second template for my double page spread. I have chosen the features on this mainly myself but I did have some friends sitting next to me helping me on the layout and them giving their opinions as I went along. I chose to use a white background to see if it got better responses as I thought you couldn't say that white is better if you didn't have an example to look at.

I will now be creating a quick survey or questionnaire and just asking people when I see them what they like and don't like and what they would change etc.

Template For Double Page Spread #1 at 02:25

This is my first template for my double page spread. I didn't really keep to the initial plan but I thought it didn't look right when doing it. On this template I used colourful colours to attract the readers eye and the quotes that Brandon Lee Jones used rather than putting it in a big paragraph so they would have to read it. I will be producing one more template then hopefully choosing my final piece. I will be creating that template and then getting some feedback from both of them to see if they any good or not and what to change to.

This is a basic plan for my double page spread. I have included everything that I think will be appropriate and make it stand out.

When thinking about producing my final double page spread I was a bit worried because I didn't think it would be easy and I wasn't sure if I would make it good or not. I will be trying my best but I think I know I will be needing a lot of research, ideas and opinions to help.

This is my final contents page that I have chosen. I chose this because after asking each one of my peers this got the highest vote and it was also my preferred preference. I think its the best one because the title does blend in with the whole page a lot more and everything is in order and looks presentable even though it is a rock music magazine and can be a bit random. It is easy on the eye and the people haven't got to look all around to find out what they want to know. Also it's not too cluttered so I think its the best one.

When asking people which magazine contents page they preferred the main feedback I got was to see if the title could be changed and made better so it was on a black back ground to match in with the rest of the page. The changes are shown above.

This is my third attempt at creating a contents page. I will be asking a few of my peers to have a look at all the contents pages I have created. If I can choose a final one then that will be taken forward and used as my final piece. If not I will be creating even more to get the best one.

This was my second attempt at a front cover. I took a completely different approach to presenting it because I felt like having a change and I wanted to design two more different ones so I could ask the opinion of others and then chose my final one.
